In this Demand Planner role, you will be working for a 75-year established family owned car care company with no.1 selling product lines in spray wax, scratch removers, and compounds.

Forecasting in this space is challenging. You will need to be resilient, analytical, and proactive to be successful and enjoy working here. In your role, you will be working closely with the wider supply chain team, commercial / sales teams, and 3rd party suppliers to forecast and schedule demand for products in line with all requirements to ensure goods are delivered OTIF and inventory levels are in line with agreed guidelines and metrics.

Position: Demand Planner.

Hours: 8:45 am to 5 pm with a 4pm finish on Friday and a 30-min lunch break each day.

Location: Liverpool (Hybrid). Current pattern is everyone working in the company’s modern Liverpool based offices on Monday & Tuesday then everyone generally works from home between Wednesday to Friday.

Pay: £35k – 40k per annum basic salary (depending on experience).

Holidays: 24 days holiday per annum + public holidays.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Planning / Forecasting – this will include building demand predictions for a rolling 12 months, providing an accurate estimation and true representation of future inventory purchases and end inventory positions over a 12-month planning horizon and meeting with 3rd party vendors / fillers on a monthly basis to ensure there is sufficient components to meet business demands.
  • Replenishment and Supply Chain Customer Service – this will include maintaining forecasts for nominated customers / distributors in the ERP / order processing system, providing regular reporting on agreed KPI’s, and liaising with relevant 3rd party contract manufacturers to ensure supply requirements are fulfilled.
  • Supply Chain Plan Implementation – this will include supporting the execution of the rolling plan, minimising the impact from potential stock outs, and monitoring the effectiveness of purchasing to ensure sales margin levels are maintained.
  • Reporting & Analysis – this will include capturing, analysing, and interpreting numeric and quantitative supply chain data to report and produce management information on status, trends, and potential issues.
  • Trouble Shooting and Problem Resolution – this will include participating in initiatives to resolve short and medium term supply issues.

  • Forecasting, inventory planning, production, and internal and external supply chain organisations.
  • Data analysis skills with the ability to manipulate and assimilate large amounts of numerical and qualitative data and information using Microsoft Excel.
  • Reporting rigorous and accurate data.

What we require:

  • 3+ years proven experience of working in a supply chain planning role, ideally in a consumer product-based industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP / MRP systems (JD Edwards or Oracle-based preferred).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Happy to work from Liverpool offices on Monday and Tuesday each week.
