Position: MIG Welder
Contract: Temp to Perm – to start ASAP!!
Location: Aston, Birmingham
Hours: 7 am – 4 pm, Mon – Thurs & Fri 12 pm (noon) finish. 39 hrs pw
Salary: £15 ph – £15.50 ph , D.O.E. (£30,420pa – £31,434pa)
Responsibilities:
- Operate MIG equipment to fabricate metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to meet project requirements.
- Conduct quality checks on welds to ensure they meet industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Fabricate sheet metal components as necessary for various projects.
- Utilise basic maths skills to calculate dimensions and tolerances accurately.
What we require:
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder or in a similar role within the fabrication industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Basic math’s skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
