Our food processing company in Wolverhampton is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimise our supply chain operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless movement of goods from farm to fork.
Position: Supply Chain Manager – Food Manufacturing
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum
Employment Benefits: 33 days holiday, company pension, healthcare and life insurance
Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, from procurement to distribution
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
- Optimise inventory levels and ensure timely availability of raw materials
- Coordinate logistics, warehousing and transport to streamline production flow
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and industry regulations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet production and customer demands
What we require:
- Proven experience in supply chain management within the food manufacturing industry (poultry experience preferred)
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving, high-volume environment
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain software
