Business Development Manager

  •  £35,000basic salary per annum (depending on experience) with 1st year on target earnings of £55,000 per annum.

  • You will be ideally based in the Leeds area or anywhere from Sheffield to Newcastle and be happy travelling and managing a sales region in Yorkshire covering the University towns and cities. 
  • Your standard working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, but you will be required to attend networking events outside of these hours – so flexibility is important.

Have you got the sales drive to expand a student lettings utilities solutions company in the South of England?


Your role is to identify and gain opportunities to deliver utilities solutions that elevate the living experience for students and increase income for student lettings agents and landlords. You will need to be a strong networker without standing relationship building skills to thrive in this role.

Your job responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate new business prospects and pipelines for student lettings / landlords utilities and contracts.

  •  Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and prospecting (walk ins).

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets.

  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities.

  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management review.


Have you got the skills, experience, and motivation to be successful in this role?

  • You must have a hunter type sales personality with a successful track record of influencing and converting sales and new clients in a relevant industry sector(such as lettings or utilities).

  • Sales in the student lettings and landlord space includes attending lots of social events – so you must thrive and be proactive in sourcing these environments to promote your socially responsible solution.

  • You will be working for a forward-thinking company with high earning sales colleagues. You will fit in here if you are a money motivated business developer with robust negotiation skills.
